Unveiling the Illusion: Understanding US and Israeli Policies in the Middle East

In recent times, there has been a surge of skepticism surrounding the foreign policies of the United States, particularly under the Biden administration. Critics argue that instead of championing noble causes, the US seems to be aligning its interests with those of Israel, effectively turning a blind eye to issues such as genocide, apartheid, ethnic cleansing, and colonization in the Middle East. However, this alignment is not merely coincidental but rather a strategic move that dates back decades.

The US justifies its support for Israel as part of its foreign policy objectives in the Middle East, considering Israel a strategic ally in the region. Despite claims of promoting peace and stability, the reality is that both nations have long been involved in tactics to seize Palestinian land. This pattern of behavior underscores a deeper agenda driven by geopolitical interests rather than humanitarian concerns.

Similarly, many nations, including Malaysia, find themselves vulnerable to subtle forms of imperialism disguised as democracy, capitalism, and free markets. The post-colonial era has seen a resurgence of economic domination through mechanisms like capitalism and democracy, which have been used to control and exploit resources, particularly land and labor.

The essence of imperialism lies in controlling two key economic factors: land and labor. However, modern imperialism extends its grip to include capital and entrepreneurship, leveraging corporations and capital to dominate global markets. This control is further reinforced through the facade of democracy and military influence, allowing powerful nations to maintain the illusion of sovereignty for the colonized nations while exploiting their resources with impunity.

Unfortunately, many fail to recognize this reality, distracted by divisive political tactics that emphasize issues of religion, culture, race, and language. The age-old strategy of divide and rule continues to be effective, allowing external powers and minority groups to wield disproportionate control over the economy, often to the detriment of indigenous populations.

In Malaysia, as in many other post-colonial nations, the illusion of independence persists as external and minority interests maintain a significant stake in the economy, potentially controlling up to 80% of economic resources. It is imperative for Malaysians and people worldwide to awaken to this reality and strive towards true economic independence and self-determination.

By shedding light on the hidden agendas of global powers and fostering a collective awareness of the mechanisms of economic exploitation, we can work towards dismantling the systems of imperialism and forging a more equitable world order. Only through unity and informed action can we break free from the shackles of neocolonialism and reclaim our sovereignty and economic freedom.
