The Essence of Struggle: From Sacrifice to Success

In the fabric of human existence lies an innate instinct, a drive that ignites sacrifice and heralds triumph as the pinnacle of satisfaction. Every individual aspires to strive and attain success, yet the thresholds of targets and levels of contentment vary vastly.

At the core of this struggle lies two irreplaceable principles: hard work and unwavering perseverance.

However, despite understanding these fundamentals, why do many missions still falter? The answer lies in foresight, the ability to illuminate the path ahead and gauge one’s capabilities towards achieving success. Yet, this foresight varies among individuals within a collective, deeply intertwined with their unique experiences.

It all begins with divergent life trajectories, disparate environments, opportunities, challenges, and varying degrees of individual successes.

From birth in the lap of poverty, devoid of educated parents and lacking formal schooling, to those born into privilege with access to higher education, each background shapes initial mindsets and attitudes differently.

The race in academic pursuits further accentuates these differences, some may only achieve success up to high school, while others pursue diplomas, degrees, masters, PhDs, and beyond. The disparity in educational achievements influences aspirations, attitudes, and ambitions, ranging from modest to extraordinary.

This educational competition extends into career pursuits, some opt for entrepreneurship, while others prefer the security of employment. The climb up the corporate ladder or the pursuit of entrepreneurial success further diversifies paths to achievement, some stumble along the way, while others reach unprecedented heights.

Subsequently, the struggle to build personal and familial economic stability emerges, with some sacrificing for the greater good of society. While some face hardships, others comfortably succeed, even ascending to the ranks of millionaires or multi-millionaires, each defining success through their economic net worth.

Fundamentally, the mindset, attitude, culture, perspectives, aspirations, and capabilities to envision the future and set targets or limits vary among individuals. Whether in academics, careers, or economics, the scope and targets, dreams, and satisfaction levels differ for each individual.

Some may only pursue education until a diploma suffices, while others find fulfillment in attaining a PhD. Similarly, in careers, some may settle for mediocrity, while others become wealthy entrepreneurs or ascend to CEO positions.

Returning to collective endeavors, be it political parties, business entities, governmental bodies, or NGOs, the leaders chosen are often those deemed successful. However, the primary issue among these leaders lies in their differing abilities, foresight, and aspirations.

Some leaders envision modest goals within their capacity, while others set lofty targets that may seem unattainable to the majority. Exceptional leaders possess the foresight to dream beyond conventional boundaries, often misunderstood by the masses as mere fantasies.

For a leader, guidance stems from knowledge, ability, experience, and a track record of success. As the saying goes, “Only stupid people dream and do stupidly.” Visionary leaders, on the other hand, set ambitious yet achievable goals, pushing the boundaries of what’s deemed possible.

The greatest challenge within any organisation lies in bridging the gap between the grand visions of leaders and the beliefs of their followers or members. While leaders dream of surpassing norms and imagination, members may perceive such goals as unattainable or futile pursuits.

However, what distinguishes great leaders is their unwavering energy, belief, and motivation, even in the face of skepticism. What’s lacking is time and the collective buy-in from members, a shared confidence and commitment to sacrifice and strive together towards monumental success.

Imagine if historical figures like Alexander, Julius Caesar, Genghis Khan, Salahuddin, or Muhammad Al-Fatih could impart their wisdom on rallying people from belief to sacrifice, inspiring them to fight for a cause with unwavering conviction. Their tales would undoubtedly reveal the essence of leadership, uniting people under a common vision, ready to overcome any obstacle in pursuit of greatness.
