In the wake of political setbacks and economic stagnation, it’s imperative for us, the Malay community, to reflect on our situation. Despite being blessed with abundant resources by the grace of the Almighty, we find ourselves lagging behind. The key to our advancement lies in nurturing a community of critical thinkers, or Ulul Albab, who ponder over solutions to the myriad challenges faced by individuals, families, and society at large.
Islam places great emphasis on knowledge, as it is through knowledge that we come to know Allah and comprehend the essence of our faith. Humans are divinely appointed as stewards of the Earth, tasked with upholding justice and combating injustice. Knowledge, encompassing both arts and sciences, empowers us to fulfill this responsibility as administrators of the natural world.
Central to our success is foresight – the ability to envision and plan for the future. Just as the Prophet Muhammad was chosen to guide humanity towards the afterlife, leaders with strong foresight are essential for steering our community and nation towards prosperity. However, foresight alone is insufficient without the ability to influence and inspire others positively.
In the realm of politics, succession planning is paramount. Entrusting leadership roles to individuals with knowledge, expertise, and experience is essential to avoid downfall. As the Prophet stated, knowledge builds while ignorance destroys. Therefore, it’s incumbent upon us to prioritize wisdom and competence in leadership selection.
The Malay populace, both as voters and followers, must recognize the pivotal role of knowledge in determining success or failure in politics. From knowledge springs the ability to think critically, analyze, and strategize. It shapes our mindset, which in turn influences our attitudes and behaviors.
Overcoming our political and economic challenges requires a paradigm shift in mindset and culture. We must abandon the culture of fear and defensiveness, and instead embrace courage and seize opportunities. Viewing failures as integral parts of success is essential for progress.
Reflecting on our history, we see a pattern of reluctance to take risks and a propensity for compromise, even at the expense of critical issues. This mindset has permeated our politics and economy, hindering our advancement.
Transformation begins with awareness, followed by a willingness to sacrifice and change. It then manifests in individual behaviors and societal norms. Let us embark on this journey of self-awareness and transformation, for it is through knowledge and a positive mindset that we will realize our potential and achieve success in politics and economics.

Salam Che Ibrahim Che Idris,
Sebenarnya saya pelajar ilmu pertanian termasuk vertinary.
Sekian dulu
