An Exciting Experience at Sinar FM Studio: Promoting the National TVET Day 2024

On a bright morning, I stepped into the Sinar FM radio studio with a sense of excitement. This morning’s segment, “Pagi Di Sinar,” was my platform to promote the National TVET Day 2024. My primary mission was to convey essential information about TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) and ensure that more people, especially the youth, were eager to attend the grand event scheduled for June 7th and 8th at the Industrial Training Institute in Kuala Langat.

Why is TVET Important?

Before I delve into my studio experience, it’s crucial to understand why TVET holds such significance. TVET provides specialised education and training in technical and vocational skills. It plays a vital role in building a competent, innovative workforce capable of competing on a global scale. TVET not only equips individuals with practical skills but also fosters critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and entrepreneurial spirit.

The Morning at Sinar FM

Arriving at the Sinar FM studio was a memorable experience. The atmosphere was buzzing with energy as the hosts prepared for the morning show. As I entered the studio, I was warmly greeted by the team. Their enthusiasm was contagious, and it set a positive tone for the session ahead.

Sharing the TVET Message

As the segment began, I was introduced to the audience. The hosts, known for their lively banter, created a friendly and engaging environment. This was crucial in making the information I was about to share more relatable and enjoyable for the listeners.

I started by explaining what TVET is and its importance in today’s world. I emphasised that TVET is not just about traditional trades but encompasses a wide range of modern and evolving industries, including information technology, healthcare, engineering, and creative arts. This diversity makes TVET a viable option for many young people who might not have considered it otherwise.
