In recent years, the political landscape among the Malays has entered what can be described as the 3R phase: Merubah (Change), Merosak (Damage), and Meruntuh (Collapse). This shift demands urgent and proactive resistance to counter its detrimental effects.
Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) and Political Madness
When I took up matters concerning MAHB, my focus wasn’t on management expertise, financial analysis, or investment strategies. The company is filled with professionals well-versed in these areas, and funders are adept at managing their investments. The crux of the issue, however, is the state of the Malays.
Political Insanity and Its Modus Operandi
The current political environment among Malays is characterised by a destructive modus operandi. This one-way traffic of seeking any means to defame opponents, regardless of the truth or the consequences, is pervasive. There’s no concern for evidence of personal achievements. The public is drawn to what they want to hear, often ignoring facts and truths. This scenario is reminiscent of a bus driver critiquing a pilot’s flying skills, convinced by their own limited experience, while reality remains far removed.
Moral Decay and Disregard for Rules
The disregard for morality is striking lies, slander, gossip, and creating false perceptions are rampant. There’s little respect for laws and regulations, with financial implications often ignored, impacting billions and burdening the rakyat (people), especially the lower classes.
Political Instability and Economic Destruction
Political madness has torn apart Malay unity and eroded power, destroying assets and damaging the economy in trillions. The instability over the past six years, fueled by daily political games, has corrupted the minds of the Malay population, leaving them trapped in incessant politicking while other communities advance economically. This imbalance threatens to subjugate political power to economic dominance globally.
The Consequences for the Rakyat
The economic destruction is borne by the rakyat, who cannot afford to be distracted by politics they must work hard for their livelihood. Yet, they are swayed by political leaders and parties who exploit their minds, leading them astray from their true interests. The exploitation of young minds by political agendas is particularly concerning, reminiscent of the 1960s and 70s, when schoolchildren were divided along political lines.
The Warning Signs
The decline is evident. A society that cannot rise after a fall, that is struck by a metaphorical stroke, becomes dependent, unable to be self-sufficient despite having wealth, knowledge, and experience. The Malays are at risk of this fate if current trends continue.
A Call to Broaden Perspectives
We must pivot our political mindset and broaden our perspectives. Instead of indulging in racial and religious sentiments, we should recognise the global context. The world’s Muslim population is larger than just the Malays, and Malaysia is not among the largest Islamic countries. Anti-Jewish sentiments overlook the fact that many prophets were Jewish. Global support for Palestine comes from diverse backgrounds, including non-Muslims.
Solidarity with Palestine
Supporting Palestine should transcend narrow political sentiments. We should be inspired by the global solidarity that includes people of various races and religions, often risking their education and careers for the cause. This comprehensive, global perspective should guide our actions.
Embrace Comprehensive Discourse
We must embrace comprehensive discourse and avoid narrow-minded politics. Discuss, debate, and derive the best conclusions based on knowledge and facts. Recognise Malaysia’s small role in a complex global political environment. Avoid confrontation and choose diplomacy and negotiation to achieve justice.
Conclusion
We must focus on collaboration and avoid conflict to make Malaysia and the world a better place. Success in this world and the hereafter is intertwined. In this age of information and technology, complacency can lead to self-destruction.
Let us heed this warning and work towards a brighter, more unified future for the Malays and Malaysia as a whole. InshaAllah, we will succeed.
